Dusseldorf Airport
Düsseldorf Airport is the 3rd among the largest airports of Germany and 20th among the busiest airports of Europe. It is considered to be the major airport for Rhine-Ruhr Region of Germany. Some of the most important hubs for commerce and business are covered by Dusseldorf airport which is located around 9 km from the Dusseldorf City.

There are also three terminals A, B and C. 16 gates are at terminal A alone. The Lufthansa and members of its Star Alliance are based at Terminal A. However this terminal is used by Lufthansa’s most airline partners. 1973 was the year when Terminal B was opened. For passenger boarding it has 11 gates. At this terminal, airlines like Skyteam, Finnair, Air Berlin, KLM, Air France, Iberia and British Airways handle the flight to Europe. However, domestic flights are also handled at this terminal.
With its Inauguration in 1986, the latest addition to Dusseldorf Airport is the terminal C. Terminal C offers 8 gates for passengers. The flights of non member Star Alliance airline carriers are operated from this terminal. The international airlines like Emirates and Airberlin have their passenger lounges at this terminal. The terminal C is also considered as an executive terminal because at this terminal the provisions like relative privacy and comfort are ensured for business travelers and VIPs.
Dusseldorf Airport has all the facilities to cater the needs of passengers with disabilities. These facilities include toilets, ramps and free parking for those with registered disability ID card. Furthermore, the arrival and departure halls are specially designed to be barrier free for disabled passengers.
